Allied Pacific Sports Network ("APSN") is an Internet and wireless provider of live on-demand sports throughout Asia and the operator of a number of officially-licensed sports-focused websites and mobile, wireless and interactive platforms. APSN is based in Beijing, China and Hong Kong and previously operated Major League Baseball ("MLB") websites throughout Asia under and exclusive license from Major League Baseball Advanced Media LLC.. APSN currently operates the Premier League and Bundesliga websites throughout various countries in Asia as well as APSN.TV.

During 2010 and 2011, APSN operated the MLB websites and mobile content business in Korea, China, Hong Kong, Macau, Singapore, the Philippines, Thailand, Indonesia and Vietnam These websites and mobile platforms provided Major League Baseball content including news, feature articles, video highlights, scores, standings, statistics, photos and an online store selling official MLB merchandise to Major League Baseball fans in their local languages. APSN streamed live on a daily basis more than 2,400 Major League Baseball games during the baseball season from Opening Day in April to the World Series in October.

Asia-Pacific or Asia Pacific (abbreviated as Asia-Pac, Asia Pac, AsPac, Aspac, Apac, APAC, APNIC, APJ, JAPA or JAPAC) is the part of the world in or near the Western Pacific Ocean. The region varies in size depending on context, but it typically includes at least much of East Asia, Southeast Asia, and Oceania.

The term may also include Russia (on the North Pacific) and countries in North and South America which are on the coast of the Eastern Pacific Ocean; the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation, for example, includes Canada, Chile, Russia, Mexico, Peru, and the United States.

Alternatively, the term sometimes comprises all of Asia and Australasia as well as small/medium/large Pacific island nations - for example when dividing the world into large regions for commercial purposes (e.g. into Americas, EMEA and Asia Pacific).

Even though imprecise, the term has become popular since the late 1980s in commerce, finance and politics^{[citation needed]} though the economies within the region are heterogeneous, they are mostly emerging markets experiencing rapid growth. Jim R. Glover (born 1942) is a long-time peace activist and folk singer from Cleveland, Ohio, who currently lives in Brandon, Florida.

Jim attended Ohio State University, where he met Phil Ochs in the Fall of 1960 and introduced Ochs to folk music, Leftist politics, and taught him how to play guitar. Glover introduced Ochs to the music of Pete Seeger, Woody Guthrie, and The Weavers. Jim's father, Hugh Glover, was a Socialist, and he was very influential to both Jim and Phil. As a result, the two became gradually more interested in politics and folk music. Jim and Phil were in a short-lived folk duo called the "Singing Socialists", later renamed the "Sundowners". Though the group didn't last long, Jim and Phil remained friends.

Jim was at Phil Ochs's infamous Gunfight at Carnegie Hall performance in March, 1970, and even performed the last song of the evening, "No More Songs", with Phil that night (though that song was not included for release on the official live album). Jim sings backing vocals on the version of "No More Songs" that was previously released on Phil's Greatest Hits album in 1970. Jim appeared on the The Midnight Special (TV series) with Phil Ochs in 1974, and they performed the songs "Power and the Glory" and "Changes" together.
